WOONSOCKET– April May McDonald, 35, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, in North Smithfield. She was the beloved daughter of Aubrey P. McDonald of Woonsocket and Jeannine V. (Fournier) Swearingen and her husband Daniel of Florida. April was born in Woonsocket and lived most of her life in the Northern Rhode Island area. She also lived for several years in Natick, Mass., and Florida. April was especially gifted with a knack for photograph­y. It was a hobby she was very passionate about and found as an avenue for her self-expression. April had a special soft spot for animals, and she was very kind and empathetic toward all God’s creatures, especially cute and furry ones. April was a beautiful soul who saw the beauty of nature and the world around her, sometimes beauty that many others may not notice or take time to appreciate. April’s mind was brimming with her trademark creativity, and her enjoyment of reading always remained with her. April is survived by her parents and her brother Jason R. McDonald and his wife Jodi of Woonsocket. She is also survived by her niece Lillian, nephew Jason Jr., many aunts, uncles and cousins; and extended family and friends. Her funeral will be Friday at 9 a.m. from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Holy Trinity Parish (OLQM Church), 1409 Park Ave. Burial will be private.
