Butch Mendes fired in a game-high 28 points for the Scene, while in a losing cause Doug Knapp tossed in 21 points followed by John Wilson with 19. In other league play, Rowe’s Aces romped to a 70-51 win over Conrad’s as Mike Reeder sparked a third period drive to put the contest out of reach and finished with a game-high 22 points. 1980 Tom Crum canned 10 sec

ond-quarter points to give Saint Raphael Academy a 40-25 halftime lead only to have SRA rally late in the game to pull out a 64-58 A League crossover win over La Salle. Crum finished with a game-high 18 points, Dave Little canned 14 and Gary Foisy hooped 14 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the Saints improved to 2-1 in league play and 3-1 overall. John Pernini one and Steve Laprade assisted on each tally as Burrillvil­le stormed out to 3-0 first period lead and clung on for a 5-4 victory over Lincoln in a Division A encounter at Lynch Arena. Rod Frenette and David Guilbault had the other Broncos’ scores, while goalie Steve Porter chalked up 15 saves. Scott Cline turned away 20 shots on goals and Tom Wood and Eric Oziemblems­ki each had two goals for Lions’ coach Greg Paraiso.
