CUMBERLAND — The Cumberland/Lincoln Lions Club is having a 10-Week Raffle to benefit the Rhode Island McDonald House Expansion Project.

Tickets, which may be purchased from any member of the club, cost $10 each. Ten prizes, valued at $20, will be awarded with one winner each week. Purchased tickets will be good for all 10 weeks. Drawings will be made at the monthly membership meetings of the Cumberland/Lincoln Lions Club in January, February, and March. Tickets may be purchased through December 31.

The Ronald McDonald House, which is located on Gay Street in Providence, welcomes sick children and families, who need to be close to local hospitals. The house has been a long-time project supported by the Lions Clubs of Rhode Island, who helped fund its original construction. The project adds a 10 new bedrooms and a program space, which is the largest expansion project made on the house since it opened in 1989.

The Cumberland Lions Club is a group of good-hearted men and women who like to volunteer their services to help those less fortunate in our community and around the world, providing them with food, clothing, eye glasses, hearing aids, service dogs, disaster relief assistance, and much more. Lions Club International (LCI) is the world’s largest community service organization.
