PAWTUCKET — GARNEAU, Elaine R., 62, of Pawtucket, formerly of Lincoln and Wo o n - socket, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Elaine was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that always made her family a priority.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Leo and Catherine (Mulcahy) Marcil. She was raised in Woonsocket and would later reside in the Manville and Saylesville sections of Lincoln before residing in Pawtucket for the past 18 years.

Mrs. Garneau was a longtime employee of the Cox Communications Company. She held virtually every position in the Telephone Support and Provisioning division of the company and was deeply respected by her coworkers.

Not only was she a hard worker at the office, she was also a wonderful cook. Some of her specialties that she would prepare would include French meat pies, corn chowder, beef stew and her famous boiled ham dinner.

Elaine was dedicated to her family, and she loved with her entire heart. Her family and friends will always remember her smile, her laugh, but most of all her love of family. She enjoyed the simple things, listening to music with her husband, smoking her Marlboro’s, and enjoying her Jaquins Coffee Brandy and Milk. Family gatherings were a thrill in her life and she enjoyed the spirit of every holiday that came with being with her loved ones. She most enjoyed decorating for Halloween, Christmas and the Fourth of July.

She leaves her beloved husband, Richard N. Garneau, her sons, Jamie Marcil and his wife Tonya of North Providence, Shawn Garneau and his wife Nicole of Lincoln, Matthew Garneau of Phoenix, AZ and Timothy Garneau of Pawtucket; her siblings, John Thomas Marcil of Woonsocket and Darlene Caron of Lincoln; her seven grandchildren, Jenna Pascale, Spencer Marcil, Lily Marcil, Madison Garneau, Morgan Garneau, Mischa Garneau, Kaylee Garneau; as well as several nieces and nephews.
