St. Agatha Seniors, Dec. 12

A total of 65 members enjoyed a celebration of Christmas with carols being sung by Pastor Michael Kelley and Charles Desaulniers followed by the installation of officers for the year 2019 by Father Kelley.

Officers are: President, Gerard Robidoux; First Vice President, Martha Cote; Second Vice President, Lucille Galipeau; Secretary, Fran Roy; and Treasurer, Frances Furnell. The trustees will be Marguerite Deragon, Jeanne Theroux and Roger Roy.

Candy canes and His Shining Light booklet were distributed to the members as well as a refund of the price of their dinner. Monetary gifts were given to Fr. Kelley and the president.

An appreciation gift was given to Bernard Dubois for setting up the pitch players every week.

Sunshine Lady Constance Bonin sent 17 Christmas cards to our shut-ins and members in nursing homes.

The members donated $177 to New Beginnings and $107 to the Milk Fund.

President Robidoux opened the business meeting with a prayer for Henry Jalbert. A get-well card was sent to Jeanne Wall.

Thank-you cards were received from Jean Barry, Constance Seider and Muriel Bouthillette.

Door prize winners were Dave Lavallee, Richard Dequire, Rober Laplante and Lucille Lavoie. Raffle winners were Linda Dequire, Donat Godin, Claire Brodeur, George Gauthreau, Leo Robidoux, Dave Lavallee, Roger Roy, Albertine Deweirdt, Doris Pariseau, Constance Seider, Doris Burrows, Lucille Lavoie and Olive Nichols.

The monthly club winners were Janet Lamarsh, $100; George Racine and Pauline Belisle, $50; Claire Lavoie, Gerard Robidoux, Annette Beaulieu, Lucille Lajoie and Marcel Hebert, $25; Claire Theroux, Denise Chamberlin, Yvette Bennetti, Beatrice Parent and Yvette Piette, $10.

Joseph and Barbara Decristofo are celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary while the following people are celebrating birthdays in late December: Gertrude Laprade, Roger Roy, Carol Jalbert, Yvette Bennetti Doris Pariseau, Ruth Blais and Normand Piette.

Lucille Groleau, Lucille Gentile and Lucienne Barbeau were introduced as new members.

Winners of the special BINGO games were Lucile McDonald, Monique Noel, Muriel Bouthillette and Michelle McDonald. Constance Seider was the caller.

Pitch winners were Roger Roy, Marguerite Dubois, Marcel Hebert, Robert Laplante and Bernard Dubois.

There was no meeting on Dec. 19 or 22. The next meeting will be on Jan. 2.
