WOONSOCKET – Eileen V. Pelletier Houle, 79, of North Smithfield, formerly of Woonsocket, died Wednesday at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of the late Roland R. Pelletier, who passed away in 1973, and the wife of the late Joseph Houle, who passed away 2015. Born and raised in North Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Mabel (Geer) Quezumbra. She was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life and a graduate of St. Clare Girls High School. Eileen worked at Miller Electric and was later employed by CVS Corp. in Woonsocket for over 25 years before retiring. Eileen was a diehard baseball fan and a proud member of Red Sox Nation. She was a voracious reader and was keen on true crime stories. Solving crossword puzzles was another of her pastimes. Eileen’s life was all about her family, and by far and away her favorite role was being a grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r. She is survived by two sons Michael Pelletier (wife Michelle) of Ohio and Gary Pelletier (wife Elaine) of Cumberland, and two daughters Gail Dubois (husband Aime) of Woonsocket and Debra Gagne of Tyngsboro, Mass. She was the sister of Elizabeth “Betty” Laliberte of North Smithfield. She is also survived by 17 grandchild­ren, 20 great-grandchild­ren, and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was the grandmothe­r of the late Lindsay Shew. Her funeral will be Friday, Jan. 25, at 9:30 a.m. from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville.
