Junior Book Club celebrates 2019 R.I. Children’s Book Award winner
This year, the Lincoln Public Library has been focusing on the Rhode Island Children’s Book Award (RICBA) nominees for its Junior Book Club. Members have been exploring these great titles and chose one of them to read each month since the nominees were announced. Kids have shared their favorite reads by posting book reviews to the library’s blog. Other activities have included creating word clouds, trading cards, and online avatars of favorite characters. The winner will be announced early in the month, and will be celebrated at the next meeting on March 25 at 6 p.m. New members who have been reading the nominees are welcome to join to play some games focusing on the characters, illustrations, and settings in the books the club has read. Online registration is required. Please visit www.lincolnlibrary.com for details and to sign up. Call (401) 333-2422, ext. 15, with any questions.
