Woonsocket

• A carnival fair fundraiser to benefit the Center for Missing Children will be held at River Island Park, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers are looking for volunteers to help set up a yard sale. Space units are available for $10, one table for $20, or two tables for $30. There will also be food, a bake sale and a variety of raffles, plus Disney arts and a pie-eating contest. • Movies in the Parks presents "Moana," dusk, World War II Memorial Park. • St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish (174 Harris Ave.) Polish kitchen will open at noon for eating or takeout. All your favorite dishes will be available, plus an outdoor grill with some specialtie­s. Cake booth will be the 'best of the best' and Michal-Polish DJ will be providing music for dancing from 3 to 10 p.m. Tables of attic treasures will be set up for browsing by noon. Something for everyone. Entertainm­ent will be available for children as well.

• The Downtown Woonsocket Collaborat­ive's third annual dinner on the bridge event, “Twilight on the Blackstone.” This one-of-a-kind night of fun, food and music will take place on the Veterans Memorial Bridge on Court Street, a historic landmark venue set 100 feet above the Blackstone River. This event is the yearly fundraiser for DWC, a non-profit board of Main Street enthusiast­s dedicated to the revitaliza­tion and promotion of the downtown area. This year's dinner will take place from 6 to 10 p.m., with a rain date of Aug. 25. Tickets are now available on our website (www.dwc02895.org). Individual tickets are $75 per person, couples $140, or a table of 10 for $650. Event sponsorshi­ps are also available by on the event page of our website. DWC is a 501c3 organizati­on and tax advantages may apply for the purchase of tickets and sponsorshi­ps.
