1953 Pawtucket East grid coach Gig Pariseau, from tackle to

tackle, will have the same Redjackets as last year with Dave Cook at center, Ed Akecewich and Glenn Kay at the guards and Lou Corey and Fred Tetreault at the tackles, while ends Frank Dompkowski and Ray Muldoon round out the offensive wall. Don Warburton, a sophomore defensive back last fall, will start at quarterbac­k. The two halfback slots are up for grabs with Stu Douglas, Don Mailhot, Charlie Rheaume and Allen McGuy all vying to become starters. Bill Callahan, a six-foot, 185-pounder, will start at fullback.

1963 Mary Hanson captured the high three series with 322

and Elise Caouette took the high single with 138 to lead the St. Mathieu’s Women’s Duckpin Bowling League. Other leaders were Joan Malo 123-315, Lou St. Louis 112-314, Cis Guilbert 124-308, Laurie Maynard 306, Claire Gregoire 305, Terry Dextradeur 113-303, Louise Bernard 111-298, Terry Thibert 294, Dot Cote 290, Terry Laporte 122 and Lou Larbecque 110.

1973 Saint Raphael Academy’s doubles duos of Becky

Boragine-Sarah Scaramella (7-6, 6-4) and Kim Keough-Karen Connors (6-7, 6-1, 6-2) rallied for victories as SRA overcame a 3-2 deficit to edge Portsmouth 4-3 in a Class B Met Division tennis match. Janet Sousa (6-2, 6-4) and Judy Johnson (6-0, 6-1) tallied wins in second and fifth singles, respective­ly. The Saints are now 1-1 and played well “all the way through the lineup” according to coach Bill Girard.
