made his high school football debut an auspicious one scoring both touchdowns as the Saints handed Pawtucket West a 14-6 setback in the annual round robin before a crowd of 8,000 at Cranston Stadium. The speedy halfback completely stole the show tallying on an 82-yard gallop on a handoff from QB Dick Lynch and on a one-yard plunge. Andy Boyle was the Rangers’ offensive star, racking up the Westerners only TD on a 10-yard sweep off left end.

1973 Larry Caswell is serving as acting football coach at

Pawtucket West in the absence of Neil Shackett, who has been forced to step down from coaching due to health reasons. Caswell’s offensive wall is comprised of ends Ken McNeille and Dan Ferraresi, tackles Dave Ferrer and Al Vincent, guards Dave Savastano and John Reddington and center Mark Neill. The backfield starts Marc Flamer at QB, the trio of Randy Redman, Ben Roderick and Paul Almeida working as halfbacks and Ken Jacques at fullback.
