PAWTUCKET – Despite losing the top two singles matches, St. Raphael Academy eked out a 4-3 Division III triumph over archrival Shea at the Vets Park courts on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Sophia Panzo tanked Adelina Steinmetz, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1, while Brianna Andrade managed a 7-5, 6-0 decision over Sophia Mazza at No, 2, but that’s when the Saints forged a rally. t Chatham McCloskey and Christina Wilk collected rather easy victories at third and fourth singles, while the first two duets of Jordan Taylor-Nicole Medeiros and Blessy Monte de Ramos-Sydney Duclos sailed to straightse­t verdicts. d The third doubles match proved to be a battle, though the Raiders’ tandem of Catherine Nobre-Bineta Ndiayne outlasted Theresa Roberge-Lily Douglas, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The second doubles unit of Rachine Iv and Amaya Taychack pushed the Villa Novans (2-0) over the top with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Jillian Estrada and Patricia China.
