1963 Mike Lubera put together strings of 234, 154 and 177

for a high three of 565 to pace all keglers in the Industrial Tenpin Bowling League. Other leaders were Ron Whitney 563, Bill Banach 557, Bill Malkowski 542, John Zuromski 342, Ed Mercier 536, Chuck Cotton 536, Tom Kuras 535, Pat Pribbitt 534, Joe Giannini 534, Walt Hudzynski Jr. 533, Henry Malkowski 532 and Al Kennedy 531.

1983 The Pawtucket Crusaders Varsity team rolled to a 46-0

shellackin­g over Lincoln in R. I. Pre-Teen Football League action at Max Read Field. Leading 28-0 at halftime, the Varsity scored their seven touchdowns in the following manner: Eric Frade recovered the football in the end zone after Deric Harris blocked a kick; Jim Dion passed 34 yards to Willie Dumas; Paul Penco jaunted 64 yards; Jeff Jarjoura scampered 27 yards; John Gallant sprinted 42 yards; Rich Taylor galloped 31 yards; and finally Taylor returned an intercepte­d pass 22 yards for a TD.

1993 Sue Lavallee shattered the Ponaganset­t course record

running in 20:35 – some 55 seconds faster than the previous mark for the 3.1-mile course – to lead Lincoln to a 20-38 win over North Smithfield. In other X-C meets, Shalise Manza commanded the 2.9-mile hilly course in Warwick winning in 20:11 as Tolman prevailed over host Toll Gate 17-43. Becky Pereira broke the Saint Raphael Academy Slater Park 2.8-mile course record for the second time in two weeks with a time of 17:18 lifting SRA to sweeps of Pilgrim and Warwick Vets by 15-50 scores.
