Kennedy Manor Social Club

The Kennedy Manor Social Club was held on Tuesday Oct. 1. The meeting was called to order by President Pauline Clancy, who then read the prayer and the salute to the flag. Secretary report was read and moved for acceptance by Gino Girard and Marion Liard. Treasurer Linda Smith read her report and was accepted by James Sisson and Rita Charpentie­r.

Sunshine lady, Jeanne Bastien, sent get-well cards to Ken Demarest, Debra Ducharme, Roger Ouelette and Barbara Aubin. Sympathy cards sent to Bernadette Rochefort on the death of her grandson, and Pauline and Andre Ledoux on the death of their son-in-law.

Board of Tenant Affairs report was read by David Wolfe. John Liard, from Kennedy Manor was signed in as a new member of the BOTA. The board was addressed regarding the noise ordinance. Members were told to call security if noise is too loud, also if the entry doors are left open. Do not attempt to fix them yourself. Anyone interested in filling a position on the Tenant Board will be paid $10 an hour. The next meeting will be held at Parkview Manor on Oct. 17.

First order of new business was the report of the nominating committee. There were no other nomination­s for any office; a vote was taken for the entire slate. They are as follow

Advisory Board: Debra Ducharme, David Wolfe, Diane Guyot, Rita Charpentie­r, Pauline Cote, Alternate–Arthur Benoit

Auditors: Connie Seider, Gino Girard, Christine Casavant Upcoming events for the rest of the year include a Halloween Party on Oct. 26; Thanksgivi­ng Party on Nov. 23 and a Christmas Party on Dec. 7.

Birthdays for September were Pauline Ledoux, Claire Benoit, Diane Sequin, James Sisson, Marion Liard, Gail and Gino Girard. Split-the-pot winners were Ginger Healey, Linda Leblanc, Connie Seider, Nadine Cudjo, Pauline Cote, Al Joly, James Sisson and Pauline Ledoux. Motion to adjourn made by Roger Ouelette and Pauline Ledoux. Next meeting to be held on Nov. 5.
