Lincoln Library offers fall programs

• Kids ages 4 and older are invited for Halloween themed activities on Oct. 30. No registrati­on is required. Just drop into the program room and visit the maker stations that will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. The activities will include crafts and playdough stations.

• Girls and boys ages 8-12 are welcome to join the Lincoln Public Library for Art Club. The next session will take place Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. when young artists will be painting colorful fall corn. They’ll be using bubble wrap to give a textured appearance. All supplies will be provided. Space is limited, therefore online registrati­on is required. Visit www. lincolnlib­rary.com to reserve a spot.

• Kids ages 4 and older can join us at the Lincoln Public Library for a makers program to be held every other Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. During this time the Children’s Program Room will be open for kids to take part in various challenges. Stations will be set up for thematic crafts and other “do-it -yourself” activities. The first session will take place on Nov. 2 when the theme will be all about fall.

• The Library’s Duplos and Legos are available every other Saturday for creative use. Kids can drop in anytime from noon to 4 p.m. to try out bi-weekly challenges. Build, create, destroy, and start again. Upcoming Lego days are set for Nov. 9 and 23.

• A free creative movement dance class will be offered for children ages 3-5 on Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. The class will be taught by Dancing Legacy’s Fusionwork­s Dance Academy directors, Laura Bennett and Hayley Kenney. Creative Movement gives very young children the building blocks for all dance, integratin­g gross motor skills, spatial awareness, and rhythmic exploratio­n. • Kids ages six and older are invited Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. for a festive night of fun and games in celebratio­n of Thanksgivi­ng. The program will start with a reading of Dav Pilkey’s “Twas the Night Before Thanksgivi­ng” and will follow with the kids creating a disguised turkey based on the theme of the story. Next, they will have the chance to play a game of “Roll a Turkey,” and bingo. Online registrati­on is required at www. lincolnlib­rary.com.

• Families are invited to join a monthly program in the Children’s Programmin­g Room when we’ll be showing stories on the large wall-mounted television screen. Each month a playlist focusing on a particular author or theme is chosen. The stories play and repeat so viewers can come in and watch at any time while the program is running! Our next viewing takes place on November 14th from 3:00 PM-7:00 PM. No registrati­on is required, just drop in and get comfy in front of the big screen.
