Cumberland seeks artistic teen volunteers

Each month, from October to May, the Cumberland Public Library hosts a “Teen Volunteer Drop-In.” These activities are an opportunity for teens in sixth grade and up to earn service hours for their school requirement or just for fun.

This month the library is in need of teen artists to help create a coloring book for the library in honor of National Library Week. Meet in the library’s Community Room today, Feb. 24, and Thursday, Feb. 27, from 6 to 7:45 p.m.

Teens who like to draw are of particular interest, but work for less confident artists can be provided. Supplies will be provided, and the staff will be available to sign paperwork required to fullfil teens’ community service requirements.

No registration is required for this activity.
