1965 Mike Aragao fired in 50

points in pacing St. Patrick’s of Valley Falls to a 108-49 victory over St. Teresa’s of Pawtucket in one of three opening-round games in the Father Barry CYO Senior Basketball Tournament. In other games, Holy Trinity of Central Falls got 21 points apiece from Ted and Bob Thibodeau and defeated St. Mary’s of Providence 73-62. points in the fourth quarter including nine free throws in 11 tries as Shea overcame a 51-40 third quarter deficit to edge Central Falls 64-62 and gain the upper hand in the battle for the final playoff spot in the Class B Central Division. Sophomore Diane Prete torched the twines for a career-high 27 points and was credited with eight of the Raiders’ 15 steals, Talbot finished with 17 points and 19 rebounds and Rhonda Blanco added 13 points for Shea. socket five exploded for 31 points in the fourth quarter as they rallied for a 79-74 win over Shea (14-2 in B-1, 16-6 overall) to sweep their Class B-1 season series. The Villa Novans (13-3 in B-1, 16-6 overall) were led by shooting guard Jeremy Jones with 19 points, point guard Josh Jenkins netted 16 and Zach Archie chipped in with 11.
