Award” at the 30th annua l
Stars of the Industry Awards Ceremony at Twin River Casino Hotel Event Center.
Audette, who boasts more than 15 years of industry experience, is a third-year hospitality instructor at the Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center. Prior to teaching, she held positions in hotel housekeeping, bakery production, bakery management, event planning, and supervising.
“Christine is receiving this distinguished honor for her leadership in helping our next generation of students realize the career pathway opportunities in our industry,” said David C. DePetrillo, Chairman of the Board, RI Hospitality Association. “She has been an excellent resource for our students in Woonsocket and continues to be a superb mentor and industry icon.”
Audette attended Johnson and Wales University where she majored in Baking and Pastry Arts, and Food Service Management. While pursuing her studies, she worked for Johannson’s Bakery in Providence, where she was tasked with training students and employees. Following her time at Johansson’s, she worked at Wright’s Dairy Farm and Bakery in North Smithfield for 11 years. Despite her current duties as an educator, she still delivers wedding cakes every weekend for Wright’s Dairy Farm and Bakery, traveling across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut to do so.
