Thank you to Landmark for a positive experience

- Diane C. Dolan North Smithfield

Here are my experiences at Landmark Medical Center. I hope it will inspire others to frequent the hospital.

At 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, I arrived at the building for my routine mammogram screening and was greeted with a sincere smile by an employee of the hospital who was proficient at her tasks of keeping me safe during this pandemic situation. She asked me where I was going and instructed me where to go. When I arrived at radiology on the ground floor, I was totally amazed at the wonderful transformation of the front desk station. It was like a five-star hotel and I was greeted again by a lovely woman employee who was like a member of the concierge team of said hotel.

My wait time was only a few minutes as I sat in a newly-bought chair waiting for my turn. Then she escorted me down a long hallway where the floor was stunning and clean, As I enter the mammography department I saw what looked like a shower of heart-shaped pink balloons. When I left, I was given a large bouquet of the same after my relaxing visit. I was introduced to a very personable person with a quick smile and a loving touch. She took me step by step through my encounter.

First she took me into my own personal changing room, with a compartment for all my clothes and personal items, with a keyed lock. She then told me my next step was to get undressed and gave me a pink face mask and a hand sanitizer set. How pampered I felt! She was a professional with a tender voice and tender touch. I am 67 years old and I felt engulfed in the care of this woman who is my junior by many years. The wonderful robe she gave me for the exam fit me to a tee, and felt as soft as a baby’s blanket. How could I not feel special with all this attention to a woman’s needs?

It brightened up my entire day. All this loving attention to every part of my journey blew my mind. I always knew my impression of Landmark Hospital was so good and right. But now I am certainly impressed by your staff as well.

Then I was introduced to

Landmark’s robot! He or she was impressive to say the least. It did most everything a person could do, but it could not eliminate the much-needed position of the mammographer. I got the best of the best – I was told it was 3D. I did not feel any pain or discomfort.

I was always treated like a lady, not like a number, and I am happy to be a patient of Landmark. What Michael Souza and others have accomplished in a short time is totally amazing.

I want to tell all who need a good northern RI hospital to go to Landmark. Everyone from the CEO to the housekeeping staff are beyond excellent, to be sure.
