TOWN OF BURRILLVILLE, RHODE ISLAND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Burrillville, RI, pursuant to the provision of Title 45, Chapter 22.2 of the General Laws of the State of Rhode Island & Providence Plantations, As Amended, entitled “Rhode Island Comprehensive Planning and Land Use Regulation Act”, will consider amending the “Town of Burrillville, Rhode Island, Comprehensive Plan”.

Nature of the Proposed Amendment: The proposed Comprehensive Plan amendments to Chapter V Housing and Affordable Housing will ensure consistency with the newly adopted Inclusionary Zoning ordinance.

Availability of Information: Said amended regulations are available for public inspection in the Office of the Town Clerk, Burrillville Town Building, 105 Harrisville Main Street, Harrisville, RI 02830 during regular business hours, Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Telephone number (401) 568-4300, ext. 133. Date, Time & Place of Hearing: Notice is further given that said amendments will be considered at a joint Public Hearing of the Planning Board and Town Council at the Town Building, 105 Harrisville Main Street, Harrisville, RI on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m., at which time and place all persons interested may be heard.

Approval, amendment, alteration: Notice is further given that the amendments discussed herein-above may be further altered or amended prior to the close of the Public Hearing thereon without further advertising; as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the Public Hearing. Any alterations or amendments must be presented for comment in the course of the Hearing.
