Two local oral surgeons are looking to restore the smile of one local resident with their Second Chance program.

Robert Beech, DDS, and John Reid, DMD, of Beech and Reid Oral and Dental Implant Surgery started the program to “give one deserving member in the Santa Clara County area, including the cities of Sunnyvale, San Jose and Milpitas, a brand-new, natural-looking smile.”

T he chosen applicant w ill rec eive a $50,000 smile makeover through f ull-arch re storat ion, which replaces broken and decaying teeth with permanent implant dentures in as little as one day.

“The ideal applicant for this program has multiple missing or failing teeth, cannot afford restorative treatment and is looking for an opportunity to improve their life and increase their confidence,” reads the webpage for the surgery, which has offices in Sunnyvale, Milpitas and San Jose.

“We wanted to provide a program to locals who are really struggling right now with their oral health and to support our community during the pandemic, where people may be struggling to afford dental care or have lost their benefits,” Beech said in a statement. “When a person has missing or decaying teeth, it not only affects their physical health but also their overall well-being.”

The application period for the Second Chance program runs through Oct. 1. Interested Santa Clara County residents can apply by visiting beechreidoralsurgery.com/secondchance. The surgery will post program updates on both its Facebook and Instagram pages.
