Hypnosis

-

Hypnosis produces an altered state of consciousness, awareness or perception in which a patient’s mind is focused and receptive to therapeutic suggestion. With hypnosis, you can learn to use your mind and thoughts to manage emotional distress or to help change certain habits or behaviors.

The Journal Oncology reports that hypnosis has been found to reduce symptoms associated with radiation and chemotherapy including pain, nausea, fatigue, hot flashes and sleep problems. Clinical hypnosis treatment for cancer patients may range from a single session to multiple sessions.
