ACS CAN needs volunteers to join its advocacy work for cancer prevention, early detection and improving quality of life for cancer patients and their families. Some examples include prohibiting the use of indoor tanning beds by minors, seeking funding for tobacco prevention programs and increasing access to palliative care services at the time of diagnosis. ACS CAN works on ensuring cancer patients have access to screenings and treatment.
