› Today, Nov. 10: Holiday Stroll in downtown Dayton, Tenn.
Kick off the shopping season from 5 to 8 p.m. by strolling among downtown shops for sales, entertainment, refreshments and drawings for prizes. www.mainstreetdayton.org. › Today, Nov. 10: Holiday House at McMinn County Living Heritage Museum, 522 W. Madison Ave. in Athens, Tenn.
This festive evening will open with a bake sale at 6 p. m. and a buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m. Harmony and GRITS will provide music, and live and silent auctions will feature items crafted by local artisans. The museum guild will honor Tom Biddle in recognition of his hard work and volunteerism to the guild. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the museum. Call 423-745-0329.

Every Saturday through Dec. 17, you can design and blow your own ornament, with the help of a glass artist, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST. Each one takes about 15 minutes to complete. You must be at least 5 years old to participate. Reserva- tions are not needed. Cost is $38 per ornament. › Closer to home: Ignis Glass Studio, 409 Broad St., offers a similar hands-on glass-blowing experience by appointment.
