MercyMe previews new album at Georgia Mountain Fairground­s

With 13 consecutiv­e Top 5 singles on Billboard’s Christian songs chart — seven of those reaching No. 1 — we can only imagine how much music is in store for fans of MercyMe when the band performs in concert Saturday, March 25, at 7 p.m.

The Texas-based Christian rock band’s concert is at Georgia Mountain Fair- grounds, 1311 Music Hall Road, in Hiawassee, Ga. This tour is promoting a new album, “Lifer,” which will be released March 31. The band’s newest single, “Even If,” is from that album.

Jasmine Murray will open for MercyMe.

MercyMe formed in 1994 and released six independen­t albums before signing with INO Records. The band gained mainstream recognitio­n with the release of “I Can Only Imagine,” a crossover single that launched album “Almost There” to double platinum certificat­ion. They released seven more albums between “Almost There” and “Lifer.”
