Annual benefit for Siskin Children’s Institute kicks off on Tuesday

A spring t radition, St yl e Works — Fa sh - i on With Compassion, takes place Tuesday and Wednesday, April 25-26, at the Chattanoog­a Convention Center.

The 41st annual fundraiser for Siskin Children’s Institute is being chaired by Candace Chazen and Jennifer Isaacson. Fashions will be presented by Belk.

The event begins Tuesday night with the StyleWorks Premiere, a preview party complete with marketplac­e shopping, entertainm­ent, cocktails, tropical-themed decor and more. Door prizes will include a $500 credit toward a cruise experience from Expedia Cruise Center and a $500 Belk gift card.

Wednesday’s StyleWorks luncheon and fashion show will feature profession­al models as well as current children and graduates of the Institute.

Proceeds from the twoday event benefit programs of Siskin Children’s Institute that serve more than 2,500 children and families annually.

Founded in 1950, the nonprofit Institute provides: early childhood education where children with and without disabiliti­es learn together; family support and profession­al developmen­t programs; developmen­tal pediatric health care; and homeand community- based early interventi­on.

“Siskin Children’s Institute was there for us when we needed hope and guidance as new parents of a child with special needs,” says Isaacson. “The teachers and therapists provided us with encouragem­ent and support during each step of our journey. StyleWorks is an event that showcases the wonderful spirit of the Institute.”
