Special events offer chance to spend some quality time with Mom around town this weekend to celebrate Mother's Day.

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 14, and there are a variety of options for spending some quality time with her around the Chattanoog­a area. Following is an overview of ways to show Mom some love.

Chattanoog­a Market

Whether mom loves freshly cut flowers, sweet treats, handmade jewelry or listening to music, she’ll find it all at Chattanoog­a Market on Sunday.

Herr Flowers, from McMinnvill­e, Tenn., will bring in tulip bouquets and other blooms. Moms can choose from a selection of wines and champagnes while sampling some of the season’s juiciest chocolate-covered strawberri­es.

There will be more than 15 food trucks at the market to buy lunch or purchase some of the vendors’ meats, produce, cheeses, breads and desserts to make dinner for her Sunday night.

While you and mom browse vendors’ booths, enjoy the music of Amber Fults at 12:30 p.m. and Megan Saunders at 2 o’clock.

Mother’s Day Jazz Brunch
