Dinosaurs come to life

Walk through dinosaur exhibits in East Ridge, Dalton

Dinosaurs will again roam the earth in downtown Chattanoog­a and Dalton, Ga., when T- Rex Planet opens Saturday and Sunday in Camp Jordan Arena and in the Dalton Convention Center.

T-Rex Planet simulates what it might have been like during the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous time periods.

The main exhibit features life-size animatroni­c dinosaurs in a walk-through display, as well as life-like dinosaur rides and skeletons — 40 dinosaurs in all.

Children can see what different dinosaurs look like as they learn about them. The exhibit showcases the dinosaurs in realistic scenes and even includes baby dinosaurs.

Pint- size paleontolo­gists can dig for bones in the fossil dig, play in the Dino Bounce area, where the inflatable­s are dinot hemed, and hear t he Dinosaur Band.

A child’s admission of $25 includes a tour of the exhibit plus unlimited access to the Fossil Dig, inflatable­s, basketball and darts games, dinosaur band and Dino Theatre.

Dinosaur, ATV and virtual reality rides, as well as some other activities not included in the general admission ticket, are an additional $5 each.

All tickets include a free mobile game, Dino Soar!, which can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play.

Tickets are valid for all- day access, meaning tickethold­ers may go in and out as much as they want in one day.

Tickets may be purchased in advance onl i ne, however military and senior citizens must purchase tickets at the box office in order to get the $3 discount.
