Three musical events set in Crossville

Three concert opportunit­ies are scheduled this holiday weekend in Crossville, Tenn.

TODAY, JUNE 29: CUMBERLAND COUNTY COMMUNITY BAND CONCERT

Where: Stone Memorial High School, 2800 Cook Road, Crossville When: 7 p.m. CDT Admission: Free Phone: 931-707-8174 The Cumberland County Community Band celebrates the nation’s birthday with an Americana concert. It will include a military salute and traditiona­l patriotic music.

FRIDAY, JUNE 30: THE WHITINGS PRESENT “NASHVILLE TO VAUDEVILLE”

Where: The Palace Theatre, 72 S. Main, Crossville When: 7 p.m. CDT

Admission: $6 or $12 Phone: 931-484-6133 Tammy a nd Ja mes Whiting present a comedy-musical revue featuring her soulful contralto voice with his piano skills. Their show includes high-energy swing, scatting, standup comedy and singing in harmony. They will be joined by jazz saxophonis­t Frank Saxton.
