Musicians around town tune up to celebrate Make Music Chattanoog­a

Music will ring out from the Southside across downtown to Coolidge Park as Make Music Chattanoog­a takes place today, June 14.

Make Music Chattanoog­a is part of a national celebratio­n of music always held on the summer solstice. Anyone and everyone can join in by demonstrat­ing their talent or learning to play an instrument at impromptu lessons offered by the performers around the city.

The festival goes on all day, and everything is free.

Here are 20 locations where music is being made today.

Backstage Bar: 29 Station St., 7-10 p. m., singer- songwriter Toby Hewette.

Chattanoog­a Choo Choo Gardens: 1400 Market St., 1-3 p.m., drum duets hosted by Barret Griffy of Insane Rhythm Music Lessons.

Chattanoog­a Choo Choo Hotel Lobby: 1400 Market St., 3-4 p.m., Benjamin Brown.

Chattanoog­a Public Library: 1001 Broad St. 11 a.m. Connor Priest Noon Bethany 1 p.m. Edward Bergin 2 p. m. Somebody Love Somebody 3 p.m. Crazy Flute 4 p.m. Eryca Nelson 5 p. m. The No Good Deeds
