Heads up, Hazelnuts: Sister Hazel tour stopping in The Signal

- STAFF REPORT Compiled by Susan Pierce.

Platinum-recording artists Sister Hazel stops in town tonight, Feb. 27, on its tour in support of EP series “Elements,” which recently topped the Billboard charts.

That’s good news for the band’s fan base, the Hazelnuts.

This energetic show features new music — such as “Good for You” and “You Won’t See Me Again” — along with fan-favorite hits like 1997’s chart-topping “All for You.”

Originally from Gainesville, Florida, Sister Hazel is comprised of five seasoned musicians whose talent has been called “one of the Top 100 Most Influential Independent Performers of the last 15 years” by Performing Songwriter Magazine.

“All for You” topped the adult alternative charts during summer 1997 and propelled their album to platinum status. Since then, the band has become firmly established not only in rock and alternative music, but in country with four back-to-back Billboard Top Country Albums Chart entries.

The band co-produced a themed EP compilation series during 2018 and 2019, “Elements,” which consisted of EPs named “Water,” “Wind,” “Fire” and “Earth.” The first,”Water,” reached No. 2 on Indie album charts and “Fire” climbed to No. 5.

Sister Hazel was a pioneer in the theme cruise industry by co-founding The Rock Boat. The band annually hosts events like the Hazelnut Hang and Camp Hazelnut, which focus on interacting with fans.

The band gives back with Lyrics For Life. Founded by singer Ken Block, the charity unites musicians and celebrities for concerts and auctions to benefit cancer research and patient-care charities.
