So many samples at Station Street Sip & Savor at Choo Choo
The formal gardens at the Chattanooga Choo Choo will set the scene for the second annual Station Street Sip & Savor, a tasting festival promising more than 50 beverages and food from a dozen restaurants. Scheduled Saturday evening, July 30, the 21-and-older event will funnel a portion of proceeds to Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block.
Admission includes a souvenir tasting glass and samples of beer wine and spirits from local, regional, national and international suppliers, plus food samples, live music and live cooking demonstrations.
Set to take part are such local favorites as Biba’s Italian Restaurant, Big River Grill, Bluewater Grille, Chicken Salad Chick, Clumpies Ice Cream, Eye on the Piez, Full Moon, Gadzooks, Old Chicago, The Honest Pint, Mike’s Hole in the Wall, Mike’s Smokehouse, Passion Pies, Springer Mountain Farms and World of Beer.
Chef demonstrations by Eric Fulkerson of Bald Headed Bistro and Josh Bonee of Easy Bistro will take place at the bottom of the hour throughout the event on the Springer Mountain Farms Chef Stage. Attendees will be able to taste the food samples that the chefs prepare in front of them while watching on live video screens and listening to chefs describe the food preparations. Local jazz band Smooth Dialects will entertain
between the chef demonstrations.
