Fight led to shooting

Chattanooga police said a fight between two people led to one being shot on Christmas Eve.

The victim, whose name was not released, was shot in the leg on 12th Avenue and taken to a hospital by private vehicle, according to a police news release.

Officers were called at 7:13 p.m. and found a crime scene in the 1900 block and are pursuing leads, the release stated.
