LaFAYETTE — Derek Kash Hancock, 56, passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2017.

Derek was a member of Trinity Gospel Tabernacle of Noble and was employed with Syntec Industries in LaFayette for 23 years.

Preceded in death by his mothers, Betty Painter Fills and Beatrice Akins; grandmothe­r, Granny Leatha Painter; and half brother, David Fills.

Survivors are his loving wife of 14 years, Kathy Reynolds Hancock; stepkids, Carrie (Josh) Bennett and Johnny (Jennifer) Scott; grandchild­ren, Alexia Scott, Justin Barnes, Seirra Bennett, and Gracie Bennett; great-grandchild­ren, Emmi Smith, Audrey Smith, and Aidyn Barnes; mother and father-in-law, Buddy and Rosetta Reynolds; sister, Connie (Junior) Thomas; half sisters, Sheila Long, Nioka Ridings, and E Jewel Griffin; and half brothers, Wesley (Joy) Akins, Terry Akins, and Wayne Akins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, at 4 p.m. at Trinity Gospel Tabernacle of Noble with Pastor David Rayburn officiatin­g.

Interment to follow in LaFayette City Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s are Ricky Reynolds, Wayne Reynolds, Jody Reynolds, Tim Reynolds, Chris Reynolds, Scotty Ash, and Danny Bridges.

Visitation at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.

Arrangemen­ts are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
