James A. Pagliaro, 84, passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at his home in Ooltewah, Tenn.

He was born May 24, 1932, in Boston, Mass., to the late Armando Pagliaro and Sophie Mazzei. He was a longtime resident of Lafayette, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his fiancé, Shirley Scott.

He is survived by his three children, James A. Pagliaro Jr., Karen Pagliaro, and Linda Wiggins; his grandchild­ren, James Wiggins III (deceased), Nicole Biggs, Kyle Pagliaro, and Matteo Pagliaro.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Coral Sea. After being honorably discharged, he worked in the field of engineerin­g for several years then set his sights on becoming a stock broker. Jim was a successful independen­t financial adviser for many years.

He took great delight on his property in Lafayette which he developed from raw untouched land. Jim enjoyed hosting family and friends, while introducin­g everyone to his beloved farm pets.

Join us at the Elsie Holmes Nature Park in Ringgold, Ga., Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. for a “Gathering of Remembranc­e.” Let’s come together and share our fondest memories of Jim.
