WindStone’s Craig state pro of year
WindStone Golf Club’s Jeff Craig is the PGA Tennessee Section golf professional of the year for 2016. He will be honored Monday afternoon at the Tennessee PGA’s annual meeting in Franklin, Tenn. The section’s posting on Craig’s award cites his service as a Chattanooga Chapter officer from 2009 to 2015, his ongoing work as Chattanooga District Golf Association Junior Tour director and his chairing of the Junior Golf Committee for the Tennessee PGA since 2010. “While Craig’s mentoring and contributions to his fellow professionals may be his guiding star, his commitment and passion toward junior golf and growing the game will be his legacy,” according to the announcement. It also noted his creation of the “hugely successful” Gilbert Cup and the Crown Cup team competitions at WindStone and the women’s clinic program that grew to record participation in 2016.
