Mocs’ Davis didn’t do combine drills

Corey Levin was able to make his presence felt at last week’s NFL combine in Indianapolis.

It looks as though Keionta Davis never got the chance.

The former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga pair participated in the weeklong event at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Both were able to get measured — Levin was 6-foot-4 and 307 pounds with 33.5-inch arm length and hands that measured 10.9 inches. Davis was 6-3, 271 with an arm length of 34 inches and 9.5-inch hands.

According to the combine results website, Davis did not participate in any drills at the combine. He graded out at a 5.0, meaning he has a 50-50 chance to make an NFL roster. Attempts to reach Davis were unsuccessful.

Levin graded out at a 5.15, which says he has a better-than-average chance to make an NFL roster. He ran a 5.16 in the 40-year dash and had 26 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, a 26.5-inch vertical jump, 106 inches in the broad jump, a 7.55-second cone drill and a 4.73-second 20-yard shuttle run.

Levin was reported to have had informal meetings with the Redskins and Saints. He thanked people on Twitter after his performance, saying “this is a very exciting time and I couldn’t be more proud to represent @gomocsfb.”

Davis reportedly had informal meetings with the Saints and Chiefs. He spoke in an interview with reporters about the friendly rivalry he had in practice with Levin when the two arrived on UTC’s campus before the 2012 season.

“That’s my guy,” Davis said. “He was part of my success, I’d say — growing with him, working with him. Once he moved to guard, we didn’t spend as much time together, but in our younger days when he was playing tackle and I was playing end, we went at it all the time.

“That’s my guy. I love everything he does. He’s a great player, and I’m glad to see him do well.”

The next stop for the pair, along with other senior Mocs prospects, will be UTC’s pro day, scheduled for March 30.
