Want to sing the national anthem at a Chattanooga Lookouts game? Find out the speed of your fastball? Get your picture made with Looie?
The chance comes Saturday, March 11, when the Lookouts, the Class AA affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, open up AT&T Field for their annual Fan Fest.
This rain-or-shine event will roll out a variety of entertainment for all ages, ranging from batting practice on the field to national anthem auditions.
Visitors can tour the stadium, take photos on the field, buy discounted team merchandise, check out the speed of their fastest pitch, purchase gameused merchandise in the clubhouse and take part in numerous other games, giveaways and activities. Mascot Looie will be around taking pictures and signing autographs.
For the fifth straight year, Fan Fest also will mark the first day of single-game ticket sales, letting fans get first dibs on any of the 70 home games this season, including such favorites as Star Wars Night on May 4, the Independence Day Celebration on July 4 and Used Car Night on Aug. 6. Other promotions this season include fireworks at every Friday home game and the Zooperstars troupe of celebrity characters on April 22 and July 29.
Single-game tickets will be sold in person during Fan Fest. They will go on sale online and by phone beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, March 13. Season tickets and mini packages already are available for purchase.
The Lookouts open the season at home April 6-10 against the Mobile Bay Bears, following the annual exhibition game against the Chattanooga State Tigers on April 4.
