Christian music chart-toppers coming with NewSong to Winter Jam
Annual Christian rock concert is set for Sunday
Expect to see lines forming by midafternoon on Sunday, March 26, for that night’s Winter Jam concert in McKenzie Arena.
Founded by NewSong contemporary Christian band in 1995, Winter Jam has boasted the largest, first-quarter attendance of any national tour for the past four years, according to Pollstar, and is Christian music’s largest tour.
The mission of the Christian rock concert is to bring together people for praise and worship without cost barriers so as many people as possible can hear the Gospel. For that reason, seating is first-come, firstserved when doors open at 5 p.m. for the 6 o’clock concert.
In addition to music by hosts NewSong, the concert lineup includes performances by Grammy nominees Crowder and Britt Nicole. Dove Award winner Tenth Avenue North and “American Idol” finalist Colton Dixon are on the program along with hip-hop artist Andy Mineo and rockers Thousand Foot Krutch.
Sadie Robertson, “Duck Dynasty” daughter and “Dancing With the Stars” alum, will make a special appearance. Tony Nolan will bring the message to the audience.
A pre-jam party will be held at 3:30 p.m. with performances by OBB, Sarah
Reeves and Steven Malcolm.
Representatives of Samaritan Ministries International are also making appearances at each of the 46 Winter Jam tour stops. They will be at McKenzie Arena on Sunday to answer questions about healthcare sharing, their biblical, non-insurance approach to providing health care for households in need.
General admission tickets are $10 to Winter Jam. Citizens of Jam Nation (memberships $32.99 to
$49.99) receive early entry and seating. •••
