Online nursing program ranked 39th in U.S.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga nursing school’s online nursing program has been ranked 39th in the U.S. in a recently released survey.
The program allows registered nurses to expand their skills by taking classes online to earn a bachelor of science in nursing degree.
The UTC program was among the top 50 in the U.S. ranked by thebestschools.org, an independent group of educators.
“The recognition is validation that we are offering a quality program that meets the needs of working RNs,” said Susan Davidson, professor and coordinator of the program at UTC.
UTC’s RN-to-BSN program was begun in 2007. Between 100 and 120 students are enrolled in the program at any given time, Davidson said.
