Eye on manufacturing

-

Economists expect that orders for long-lasting manufactured goods increased last month.

They predict that the Commerce Department will report today a 1.5 percent gain in durable goods orders by U.S. businesses for February. That would be down from a gain of 2 percent in January, which was driven by a spike in demand for commercial and military aircraft.
