Willow Creek and Watkins Family gospel concerts this weekend
SACRED SOUNDS COMING TO HISTORIC RINGGOLD DEPOT
Sacred Sounds Friday presents the Watkins Family on Friday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the historic Ringgold Depot, 155 Depot St. in Ringgold, Ga. Tickets are $10.
The Watkins Family trio is made up of Judy Watkins and her two children, Todd and Lorie, accompanied by various side musicians. The gospel group has been performing for more than 25 years.
Their album, “Heaven’s Worth Waiting For,” was produced by former Ricky Skaggs musician and Grammy winner Mark Fain. The group was inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame in 2012.
Proceeds from Sacred Sounds concerts benefit the scholarship fund of Share America Foundation, which helps further the education and musical training of promising young musicians.
Channing Eleton will open for the Watkins Family.

Willow Creek will present a Palm Sunday concert at New Antioch Baptist Church, 710 Hairlake Road in Summerville, Ga., on Sunday, April 9. The free concert begins at 6 p.m.
Willow Creek is an award-winning, male gospel quartet from North Georgia that has won awards from the National Association of Country Music International, North Georgia Gospel Music Association and Georgia Country Gospel Music Association.
