Nonbeliever numbers rise in the region

The 2014 Pew Religious Landscape Study found evangelicals were the largest Christian group by far in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama and made up a quarter of U.S. Christians. But the second-largest group nationwide and in Tennessee and Georgia were nonbelievers, the study showed.
