Maragnano named Hatcher Foundation resource coordinato­r

The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer has named Samantha Maragnano, a University of Tennessee at Chattanoog­a graduate, to the new position of regional resource developmen­t coordinato­r.

Maragnano, a native of Plympton, Mass., previously studied at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, N.H., and at University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Maragnano has extensive experience doing volunteer work in the Chattanoog­a area for the Austin Hatcher Foundation, the Youth Cancer Awareness Program and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked for Partnershi­p for Families, Children and Adults in Chattanoog­a as an intern.

“I’d never seen an organizati­on like this that does so much in so many ways for people,” Maragnano said. “They are such good people. I can’t wait to work with them in a more involved way.”
