Ooltewah Animal Clinic adds Childers
Dr. Sarah Childers has joined Ooltewah Animal Clinic. She received her B.S. in animal science in 2014 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She completed her doctorate of veterinary medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She took electives in spay/ neuter, advanced radiology, advanced neurology and small animal sports medicine and rehabilitation.
During her time in school, she served as a veterinary missionary in Namibia, Bolivia, Haiti and the Dominican Republic as well as within the U.S. in Alaska and Texas. She has completed externships around the U.S. in neurology, zoo and emergency medicine practices.
Dr. Childers is working with Dr. Barry J. O’Neal at the Ooltewah Animal Clinic, where she volunteered in her youth. She said she is very excited to work alongside her longtime mentor, Dr. O’Neal.
