Rossville needs federal support

-

After the War, America poured billions into the Marshall Plan for a devastated Europe to rebuild, revive trade, modernize industry and make Europe prosperous.

Rossville industry supported the war effort with military material critical to our fighting men and women.

Rossville now needs the equivalent of the Marshall Plan — for the same reasons: rebuild, revive trade, modernize industry to make Rossville great again. Millions of federal dollars need to be spent on the brick edifice called Peerless Woolen Mills, its re-imagination and to repair/replace utilities such as its sewer outfall.

Rossville is the perfect place for re-industrialization since it has everything on site: location, rail, interstate, four-lane access, labor force, power, water, sewer and high-speed internet.

Has the federal government ever done anything like this before? How about millions spent to clean up the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant, which was built to manufacture explosives for the war effort? J. Olney Meadows Summerville, Ga.
