Parkridge names Lewis as CMO
Parkridge Health System has named Kevin L. Lewis as its chief medical officer.
Dr. Lewis comes to Parkridge from SSM Health Oklahoma, where he was regional president and CEO of physician organization and ambulatory services. Prior to his position at SSM Health Oklahoma, Lewis was chief medical officer at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
“Parkridge Health System is poised for growth,” Dr. Lewis said. “I look forward to collaborating with local physicians to establish medical networks that make health care more accessible to patients in Chattanooga and its surrounding areas.”
Prior to his tenure at CHI Memorial, Lewis served in leadership positions at Utica Park Clinic, a multi-specialty, employed-practice group that is part of the Hillcrest Healthcare System in northeast Oklahoma; Hillcrest Medical Center in Oklahoma; the Oklahoma Heart Institute Sleep Care; Graymark Healthcare, in Oklahoma City; and Tulsa Pulmonary and Allergy Consultants, in Tulsa, Okla. Lewis earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, in San Antonio, Texas; served an internal medicine internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha; performed his internal medicine residency at Oklahoma University College of Medicine in Tulsa; and served two fellowships in pulmonary and critical care at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., and the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ken. He is board-certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and sleep medicine.
