Millsaps earns ACCE executive credentials
Cheryl Millsaps, vice president of finance and administration at the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, has been designated a Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) by the Alexandria, Va.-based Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). ACCE is an association of more than 7,500 professionals and 1,300 chambers of commerce around the world.
“This is the highest designation in the chamber profession, and Cheryl has earned this outstanding recognition through countless hours of dedication,” said Bill Kilbride, president and CEO of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce.”
Millsaps is one of nine chamber professionals to earn the CCE designation in 2017. The nine leaders represent chambers of commerce in six states, including Alabama, Indiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Since ACCE conferred the first CCE designation more than 40 years ago, about 500 professionals have become certified.
Millsaps has served in her vice president role since 2005. Prior to that position, she was director of accounting. She has served on the boards of the Principal Leadership Academy, Co.Lab and is a founding trustee of the Thrive Regional Partnership. In addition to IOM certification, Millsaps is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM).
