Millsaps earns ACCE executive credential­s

Cheryl Millsaps, vice president of finance and administra­tion at the Chattanoog­a Chamber of Commerce, has been designated a Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) by the Alexandria, Va.-based Associatio­n of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). ACCE is an associatio­n of more than 7,500 profession­als and 1,300 chambers of commerce around the world.

“This is the highest designatio­n in the chamber profession, and Cheryl has earned this outstandin­g recognitio­n through countless hours of dedication,” said Bill Kilbride, president and CEO of the Chattanoog­a Chamber of Commerce.”

Millsaps is one of nine chamber profession­als to earn the CCE designatio­n in 2017. The nine leaders represent chambers of commerce in six states, including Alabama, Indiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Since ACCE conferred the first CCE designatio­n more than 40 years ago, about 500 profession­als have become certified.

Millsaps has served in her vice president role since 2005. Prior to that position, she was director of accounting. She has served on the boards of the Principal Leadership Academy, Co.Lab and is a founding trustee of the Thrive Regional Partnershi­p. In addition to IOM certificat­ion, Millsaps is a certified Senior Profession­al in Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certified Profession­al (SHRM).
