PGA Tour card official for Jaeger
It’s been all but a done deal for some time, but former Baylor School and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga golfer Stephan Jaeger officially has a PGA Tour card for 2018 after a top-25 finish in the Web. Com Tour money list for the regular season that ended Sunday in the Portland Open. He finished fifth, in fact, with the four-event Web.com playoffs allowing another 25 bigtour cards. One of those could go to Jonathan Hodge, who in 2008 preceded Jaeger (class of 2012) as a UTC All-American. He was 37th on the regular-season money list. Jaeger can start playing on the PGA Tour when its 2017-18 season opens the week of Oct. 2-8 in Napa, Calif. “I’m happy. I worked hard all year. I’m excited, man,” he said after Sunday’s presentation, according to a UTC release. “We’ve got four more events left to reshuffle the money list and get our priority rankings better, but I’m excited. First year out there and good things happening.”
