› Flea market: Youth group’s annual flea market, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5440 McDonald Road in McDonald, Tenn. Proceeds fund mission trip to Belize. Last year, the group laid 1,250 blocks for the top level of a school, formed and poured 186 feet of sidewalk, installed 90 feet of ceiling tiles in a hospital and oversaw a week of Vacation Bible School for elementary-age kids and a week of prayer for high schoolers. The Samaritan Center, 9231 Lee Highway, is accepting donations of cleaning supplies for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts through Friday. Among the new or gently used items requested are brooms, mops, insect repellent, coal shovels, concentrat­ed mold retardant (Milgo Plus), cordless drills, dust masks/ respirator­s rated N95, work gloves, heavy rubber gloves, heavy-duty contractor garbage bags, rubber or cement boots, sunscreen, utility knives, water pumps and hoses, wet/dry vacs, wheelbarro­ws, garden and leaf rakes and square-ended, long-handled shovels. Items may be dropped off at the large truck in the front parking lot, 9 a.m.7 p.m. weekdays, noon-6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Jeanie Hart, executive director of Right Time Right Place Staffing of Cleveland, Tenn., and Dr. Kelly Zachary-Arnold of Washington, D.C., will share their stories of healing.
