Staff writer Gene Henley examines the scores from the Mocs’ 45-10 loss to LSU on Saturday:

FIRST QUARTER

Key play: Nick Tiano had some key completions on the drive, but it was a 2-yard run — coupled with a late hit on LSU’s John Battle — that gave the Mocs a first-and-goal opportunity.

LSU — Drake Davis 36-yard pass from Danny Etling (Jack Gonsoulin kick), 6:23

Drive: 6 plays, 72 yards, 2:29

Key play: On the scoring play, the Tigers used a fake double reverse, and the misdirection gave Etling a free shot downfield, where he hit Davis in stride for the score.
